FAQ
Unfortunately, due to the wide range of allergies among children, we do not provide daily meals or snacks. Families are responsible for supplying all snacks, lunches, and drinks for their child. To make this easier, we offer ample storage space at the centre so that a reasonable amount of food can be left on-site, reducing the need to bring items each day. On special occasions or during group cooking activities, snacks may be shared with the utmost care to ensure that all known allergies are strictly avoided.
All fees are billed on a monthly basis. If you choose to take one or two weeks of vacation, the monthly fee is still required to secure your child’s spot during your absence. Families may take up to two weeks of vacation per calendar year without forfeiting their space, provided fees are kept up to date.
Yes, we ask that you provide an extra set of clothing for your child to keep at the centre. This emergency outfit is important in case of accidents, spills, or if your child’s clothes become dirty or wet during the day. Please place the clothing in a labeled, sealed bag with your child’s name on it, and ensure the items are seasonally appropriate and regularly updated as your child grows.

We have opted into the government’s Fee Reduction Initiative program, which means the government contributes towards lowering your daycare costs. A portion of your enrolment fees is covered by the government. The second column in our fee list shows the reduced prices after the subsidy is applied.

All Little Caterpillars employees have the appropriate documentation associated with working in their specific programs (Such as ECE, ECE-IT, RA) in accordance to Fraser Health Licensing regulations. In addition, all employees must have their first aid certification and a clean criminal record check. Little Caterpillars provides additional professional development and training for our employees to keep them up to date on certifications and up to date on industry standards.
We often go on off-site field trips for the School Age Pro-D Days, as well as occasional field trips for our Child Care classes for further education and entertainment purposes.
